Matrixdock Hits Two Year Milestone for Reserve Audits
Matrixdock has completed its fourth consecutive semi annual audit, proving its tokenized gold and silver reserves are fully backed.
Matrixdock recently hit a major milestone by completing two years of independent reserve verification. The firm finished its fourth consecutive semi annual audit with Bureau Veritas, confirming that its tokenized gold and silver assets are backed by physical bars held in vaults. This latest report is notable because it expands beyond gold to include their silver product for the first time.
During the audit, examiners checked 574 individual gold and silver bars across three different vault locations in Singapore and Hong Kong. The team weighed and measured every bar to ensure the physical reserves matched the circulating supply of tokens on various blockchains. The results showed no discrepancies, confirming that the tokenized assets remain fully supported.
These regular audits are part of what the company calls its Reserve Transparency Stack. By maintaining a consistent verification process over two years, the firm aims to build lasting trust with institutions and users who rely on these tokens for treasury management or lending. Between these major audits, holders can still use tools like monthly statements and an online lookup system to check their asset backing at any time.
As on chain finance grows, the ability to verify reserves becomes essential for assets used as collateral. The team is already planning to explore new ways to strengthen these checks in the future while keeping client information private. Investors should keep an eye on how these transparency standards influence the broader adoption of tokenized precious metals in decentralized finance.
