Massive Data Breach Hits 9.5 Million Patients at Aesto Health

Aesto Health recently revealed a major security breach affecting over 9.5 million individuals. The incident occurred through the company's Amazon Web Services storage between December 2 and December 18, 2025. An extensive investigation concluded in late May 2026 confirmed that data from 29 different organizations was compromised.

The stolen files contain sensitive information including names, dates of birth, medical records, and financial account details. In some cases, government identification numbers and Social Security numbers were also accessed. While Aesto Health claims there is no evidence of the data being misused so far, the scale of this exposure is alarming for those involved.

The company began notifying the affected clients in late June and started mailing individual notices in August. Impacted users are being offered two years of credit monitoring and identity theft protection through Experian. Security analysts continue to monitor for potential fallout, as no specific threat group has come forward to claim responsibility for the attack.
