LIVELightning Labs just dropped the alpha version of Wavelength, a new toolkit designed to make Bitcoin integration as simple as a few API calls. The team calls it Bitcoin on easy mode for humans and AI agents. Developers can now add self custodial Bitcoin and Lightning payments to apps without needing to run nodes, manage channels, or handle liquidity.
The system runs an embedded wallet right inside web or mobile apps where users keep full control of their keys on their own devices. It supports regular on chain Bitcoin, instant Lightning payments, and fast off chain transfers using standard invoices. AI agents can also use the Wavelength API to hold balances and pay for data feeds or other machine services in tiny fractions of a cent.
Wavelength is available right now on testnet and Signet, while mainnet access is currently open by invitation. Future updates will bring stablecoin support through Taproot Assets and deeper mobile integration. Traders and builders should watch how quickly developers adopt this toolkit to bring crypto payments into everyday applications.
