Lido Moves 8 Million ETH in Massive Validator Upgrade

Liquid staking leader Lido just rolled out its biggest core protocol upgrade since version two. The team moved more than 8 million Ethereum onto newer validator architecture on Monday. This massive stack of digital assets is valued at around 16.5 billion dollars, representing roughly a fifth of all staked Ethereum.

The update aims to spread out the operational load and improve how staking is handled across the network. By shifting such a large volume to the upgraded setup, Lido wants to keep the Ethereum ecosystem running smoothly while holding a dominant market share in liquid staking.
