Interactive Brokers posted second quarter revenue of $1.90 billion alongside an adjusted earnings per share of $0.69. Both numbers beat Wall Street estimates, pushing the stock up about four percent in after hours trading. The global brokerage benefited from a major boost in customer activity across stocks, options, and other digital assets.

Commission revenue jumped thirty percent year over year to $673 million. Customer trading volumes in options and stocks increased by seventeen percent and fourteen percent respectively. At the same time, net interest income climbed twenty three percent to $1.06 billion, beating analyst expectations while customer margin loans surged to $108.5 billion.

Total customer accounts grew thirty four percent to reach 5.19 million, pushing customer equity up to $930.3 billion. The firm continues to expand its offerings by integrating crypto trading and launching new prediction market products.
