LIVEHyperscale Data sold roughly 686 Bitcoin for about $43.4 million in August 2026 to pay off all its Bitcoin backed loans on the Morpho lending protocol. This move cleared its immediate collateral exposure and freed up pledged assets, removing a major short term financial headache for the company.
Even with the debt wiped clean, a larger problem remains on the books. In its latest quarterly filing, the company stated that its available cash is not enough to cover operating requirements, financial obligations, and planned capital investments for the upcoming twelve months. This situation casts doubt on the firm's ability to keep running normally.
Financial records show the company had $36.8 million in cash against $201.7 million in current liabilities at the end of June. During the first half of 2026, it recorded a $49.1 million net loss. Furthermore, management expects a 20 megawatt deployment at its Michigan artificial intelligence data center to require more than $100 million over time.
Traders should watch how Hyperscale plans to secure extra funding to pay for its ongoing projects and day to day operations. While clearing the Morpho debt solved an immediate risk, the broader cash shortage means the company still has a tough road ahead.
