Healthcare Services Group has agreed to a $3 million settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit. This legal action follows a data breach discovered in October 2024 that exposed the sensitive information of 624,496 people. The stolen data included Social Security numbers, driver license details, and health records.

The firm provides support services to long term care facilities across 48 states. While the company denies any wrongdoing or liability, they chose to settle to avoid a lengthy trial. The agreement covers legal fees and provides impacted individuals with three years of credit monitoring plus identity theft protection.

People affected by this breach can request reimbursement for out of pocket expenses up to $5,000 each. The court has set a deadline for claims on October 1, 2026, following a final fairness hearing in September.
