Federal investigators have arrested twenty one year old Zyaire Dontaevious Zamarion Wilkins in connection with a malicious Steam game campaign. Court documents show that the operation infected nearly 8,000 devices, targeted eighty crypto wallets, and stole at least $220,000 from unsuspecting users. Prosecutors claim Wilkins funded the project and helped market the infected games across social media platforms.

The investigation cracked open when agents traced a Bitcoin address linked to the hackers. The trail led to Bitrefill gift card purchases, Google cookie records, and phone numbers. Investigators noticed that the suspect used the funded accounts to order more than five hundred meals through Uber Eats. The food delivery locations matched a university address and a family home in Florida, helping agents pinpoint the suspect's exact location.

During a subsequent search of the residence, agents seized several electronic devices along with multiple cryptocurrency wallet seed phrases. One seed phrase connected to a privacy coin wallet showed roughly $382,000 in transaction activity. Wilkins now faces federal charges for conspiracy to obtain information by computer for financial gain as law enforcement cracks down on crypto targeting malware.
