Ethereum is seeing a major shift in investor behavior. Less than a year ago, users faced a 45 day wait to unstake their holdings as millions of tokens flooded the exit queue. Today, that queue is completely empty, meaning users can withdraw their coins as soon as the standard protocol process allows.

The trend has shifted toward accumulation rather than liquidation. There are now over 2.5 million ETH waiting to enter the staking pool, creating a 44 day delay for those trying to become new validators. This suggests that market participants are focusing on long term rewards rather than short term gains despite recent price swings.

Nearly 41 million ETH is currently staked, representing about 33.6 percent of the total supply. This is a record high for the network and comes even as staking yields have declined to 2.62 percent. With one out of every three tokens locked away, the risk of a massive selloff on exchanges has decreased significantly.

This growth in staked supply shows strong confidence in the network. While this move takes coins out of circulation, it signals that holders are comfortable keeping their assets locked despite lower rewards and higher issuance. Traders should watch these staking levels to see if the demand to participate continues to outpace the supply of available tokens.
