Mining pool DMND rolled out a major update last week that integrates Mempool Accelerator technology directly into its Stratum V2 setup. This change shifts power away from traditional mining pools and hands transaction prioritization control directly to individual miners. Under the old system, pools decided which transactions to rush through and kept the extra cash for themselves. Now, DMND miners handle the selection process and collect the extra revenue when they successfully mine a block containing those accelerated transactions.

Alejandro De La Torre, CEO of DMND, explained that this move gives miners access to income streams that were previously blocked off by traditional pool operators. Orange Surf from mempool.space noted that this is the first integration of its kind, allowing Stratum V2 miners using job declaration to earn their fair share of fees from stuck transactions. This development puts pressure on other mining pools to follow suit and share acceleration revenue with the people actually doing the work.

This shift is a big deal for the economics of Bitcoin mining. By using Stratum V2, individual operators can boost their profitability beyond basic block rewards and standard transaction fees. Traders and miners should watch to see if other major pools adopt similar revenue sharing models to stay competitive in the coming months.
