Disney has agreed to a $50 million settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging that the company used its control over ESPN and Hulu to artificially inflate prices for live television streaming services. While the company denies any wrongdoing, the deal aims to compensate subscribers who were affected by these alleged pricing practices.

The settlement covers individuals who subscribed to YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now, or AT&T TV Now between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026. FuboTV subscribers are not included in this particular agreement. Payout amounts will be calculated on a pro rata basis, meaning the final check depends on how long you maintained your subscription.

To receive a payment, eligible subscribers must file a claim through the official settlement website by September 8, 2026. A final hearing to approve the settlement is scheduled for January 14, 2027. If you think you qualify, it is worth checking the official claim portal soon to ensure you do not miss the filing deadline.
