LIVEEarly Bitcoin investor Dan Held believes SpaceX could reach a staggering $100 trillion valuation within the next two decades. Speaking on a recent podcast, Held pointed out that the core of his bullish view relies on the falling cost of sending cargo to orbit. During the Space Shuttle era, sending a kilogram to space cost about $20,000. He notes that the Starship program could drop that price down to just $10.
Held compared his strong conviction in SpaceX to his early belief in Bitcoin. He actually sold most of his stake in cryptocurrency exchange Kraken five years ago to invest directly in the aerospace company. According to Held, Starlink is just the beginning. He expects the technology to expand into missile defense systems, orbital data centers, and super fast point to point rocket travel that could make a flight from New York to Tokyo take only 25 minutes.
Cathie Wood and other prominent market figures share a similar outlook on the company's future potential. Even so, shares have experienced notable volatility since joining the Nasdaq 100, dropping 35 percent from previous highs. Long term forecasts remain uncertain, but traders will watch closely as Starship production scales up and tests new market frontiers.
