LIVECrypto.com is once again changing the rules for its token holders. Starting September 10, the company is cutting annual rewards for new CRO lockups across several card tiers. Obsidian and Private tier holders will see their rewards drop from 9 percent to 6 percent. Icy and Rose tier users will see a reduction from 8.5 percent to 5 percent, while Jade and Indigo holders will drop from 4 percent to 3 percent.
This move adds to a long history of shifting terms for the platform. Over the years, the exchange has reduced card cashback rates, limited lounge access, and removed various vendor rebates. These changes follow a pattern of roadmap updates that have often frustrated retail investors, especially as the token price remains significantly below its all time high set in 2021.
Market participants are also watching the Cronos blockchain, which recently experienced issues with infrastructure stability. The decision to re mint tokens previously marked for a burn program has further drawn criticism from the community. As the platform continues to adjust its incentive structures, investors are left to weigh whether the utility of the CRO token justifies the declining perks.
