Coinbase is retiring the Base App name after testing it for just over a year. The company decided to consolidate its mobile experience back into the main Coinbase Wallet identity. This change comes as the team moves away from its recent social experiment branding to focus on a unified product suite for all its users.

The updated wallet is far more capable than its previous version. It now provides support for over 10 different networks. This expansion includes compatibility with Robinhood Chain and Monad. Users can also access a wider range of financial tools directly in the app, such as prediction markets, tokenized stocks, and perpetual futures.

By folding these tools back into the primary wallet, Coinbase aims to simplify how users interact with various blockchains. Traders should watch to see if this unified brand approach helps increase the daily active user count for the wallet as it integrates more complex trading products.
