LIVECapital B is shaking up its share structure with a 10 for 1 reverse stock split scheduled for September 8. This move will combine ten existing shares into one single share, effectively raising the price of each individual unit. While the total value of shareholder holdings remains the same, the company hopes the higher price per share will make the stock more appealing to institutional investors who often avoid low priced assets.
The company currently trades on Euronext Growth Paris at roughly €0.48. Following the split, shares should trade closer to €4.80. Capital B stated that this is a technical change meant to support institutional growth and increase visibility. The process begins on August 6 and runs through September 7, which will be the final day of trading for current share quantities.
Capital B maintains a strong position in the space, currently holding 3,139 BTC on its balance sheet. This makes it the second largest corporate bitcoin holder in Europe. While this stock split does not add new bitcoin or capital, it positions the firm to more easily manage its future fundraising goals. Shareholders should watch for settlement dates around September 10 as the new share structure takes effect.
