Bitget Celebrates 8 Years with Big Plans for Universal Trading

Bitget is celebrating eight years in the industry with a new focus on its Universal Exchange vision. The platform is moving beyond crypto to offer a wider range of assets including tokenized stocks and commodities. Recent data shows that non crypto assets now make up a significant portion of its trading volume, with daily volume for stock perpetual contracts and CFDs topping 10 billion dollars.

The exchange is also putting resources into new tech, such as its AI Playbook for autonomous trading. This anniversary marks a transition toward institutional services, as shown by a 45 percent increase in institutional client assets since the end of 2025. To support this growth, the company is increasing its Proof of Reserves coverage from 4 to 24 assets.

Looking forward, the platform plans to improve its API and quantitative trading tools to attract more professional market makers. CEO Gracy Chen noted that the next chapter for the company will focus on how crypto and traditional finance continue to overlap. Bitget is celebrating this milestone with a global trading competition and various community events for its users.
