LIVEBitFuFu saw a significant rebound in August as its total Bitcoin production hit 174 coins, up from 112 in July. Much of this growth came from its cloud mining business, which allows customers to purchase hashrate. While this expansion boosted production numbers, it is important to note that coins generated through cloud mining are not kept in the company treasury.
For its own self mining operations, the firm produced 88 Bitcoin, up from 72 the previous month. This led to a modest increase in the company treasury, which grew by 59 coins to reach a total of 1,373 Bitcoin. Even with this recovery, total reserves remain well below the 1,671 coins held back in June.
This gap exists because the company spent significant amounts of Bitcoin on new mining hardware earlier this summer. While the mining capacity has jumped to 20.6 EH/s, the firm has not yet detailed the specific financial returns on those hardware investments. Investors will be watching future reports to see if the increased hash power leads to higher profits that justify the spent reserves.
