LIVEBitcoin continues to be the primary choice for institutional investors, capturing over 77 percent of a recent $1.3 billion surge into US crypto exchange traded products. Data from mid August shows that Bitcoin funds pulled in over $1 billion over three days. This performance highlights a significant uptick in demand, with daily inflows averaging more than four times the typical historical pace.
Ethereum also saw a strong showing during this period, bringing in nearly $290 million. BlackRock proved to be a major force, with its Bitcoin product accounting for over $588 million in inflows. The firm also led the way for Ethereum, with its ETHA fund contributing more than $212 million to the total.
While Bitcoin and Ethereum are enjoying a sharp acceleration in interest, Solana products are moving at a much slower pace. Solana funds captured roughly $4 million over the same window, which sits below historical averages for that category. Analysts note that these flow figures offer a look at investor sentiment but do not reflect the entire market, as some new products are still being integrated into tracking data.
Traders should keep a close eye on these ETF flow numbers in the coming days. Strong institutional buying often signals a shift in market momentum, but investors should stay aware of broader liquidity trends that could impact price stability.
