US spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds just posted $462.7 million in weekly outflows, ending a strong three week stretch of heavy buying. The funds saw steady withdrawals across all four trading sessions in the holiday shortened week, marking the first weekly loss for the products since mid August.

This sudden reversal comes as macroeconomic pressure mounts. Analysts note that while the recent outflows are modest compared to the $3.8 billion that entered the market over the prior three weeks, a longer streak of withdrawals could threaten Bitcoin's hold above the key $75,000 price level.

All eyes now turn to the upcoming Federal Reserve meeting on September 15 and 16. Hotter inflation data and rising Treasury yields have complicated the market outlook, raising the opportunity cost of holding non yielding assets like Bitcoin.

Traders should watch the ETF flows immediately following the central bank decision. A return of inflows would signal that last week was just short term risk reduction, while continued redemptions could force Bitcoin to defend its recent gains with much less institutional support.
