Binance Delists Three Altcoins as Prices Hit Record Lows
Binance is removing ICON, Secret, and Storj from its platform on September 3, adding further pressure to these struggling projects.
Binance announced it will stop supporting spot trading pairs for ICON, Secret, and Storj on September 3. The exchange conducts periodic reviews of all assets to ensure they meet strict standards for liquidity, development, and security. Following the news, all three tokens dipped significantly, with several hitting new all time lows.
Each of these projects is already managing its own internal crisis. Secret is ending support for its existing network just days before the Binance delisting as it transitions to a new platform. Meanwhile, ICON is navigating a network shutdown and a token migration plan. Storj faces perhaps the most difficult situation, as its parent company filed for bankruptcy protection late last month.
Traders should note that Binance will stop crediting deposits for these tokens on September 4. Withdrawals will remain available until November 3, after which the exchange may automatically convert any remaining balances into stablecoins. Investors currently holding these assets should check their exchange accounts and plan their next moves before the upcoming deadlines.
